Guwahati (Assam), August 09 (ANI): While sharing an incident, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on August 08 revealed that Manipur violence compelled Union Minister Amit Shah to stay wide-awake till the matter was straightened out. “The situation in Manipur is better as compared to May and June. Home Minister Amit Shah stayed in Manipur for three days. Has any Congress Home Minister stayed in the northeast during the time of conflict? You must give credit to the Union Home Minister, he went to Kuki areas at that point in time. He rings the Chief Minister of Manipur every day atleast 10 to 15 times. There was a huge conflict about to happen a week ago. He didn’t sleep that night until the issue was resolved. I received his call at 3 in the morning,” said Chief Minister Himanta while addressing a presser.
