New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): As per a Financial Times report, US thwarted a plot to kill khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in US. US also issued a warning to India over concerns the govt in New Delhi was involved, citing unnamed sources. However, the Ministry of External Affairs has reacted to a media report and said, “the US side shared some inputs”. The inputs pertained to the nexus between organised criminals, gun runners, terrorists, and others. India further said that inputs are a “cause of concern” for both countries, it will take necessary follow-up action. MEA Spokesperson further said that US inputs are already being examined by relevant departments. The alleged plot has come to light after Khalistani terrorist Pannu threatened Sikhs to stop flying on Air India planes. India's anti-terrorism agency has filed a case against Gurpatwant Singh Pannu for threatening Air India passengers. The case against Khalistani terrorist Pannun has been registered under UAPA and sections of the Indian Penal Code. Pannun is the general counsel of Sikhs for Justice, which India labelled an "unlawful association" in 2019. Gurpatwant Singh Pannu was also listed as an "individual terrorist" by India in 2020.
