Apr 15, 2024
New Delhi, April 15 (ANI): Congress has fielded Kanhaiya Kumar from the North-East Delhi constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, who is pitted against Bharatiya Janata party’s Manoj Tiwari. Reacting to Kanhaiya Kumar’s candidature, Manoj Tiwari said, “I have been meeting people as a BJP candidate and seeking votes based on my work. Someone (against me) had to come but Congress’ mindset has surprised the people. Is there no one in the Congress party who respects the army and culture of the country, to whom they could give a ticket?... Whoever will come (to North-East Delhi) is on a 40-day tour and they will definitely see the work worth Rs 14,600 crores that has been done in our area.” Meanwhile Kanhaiya Kumar said, “I don’t think in the last ten years BJP has done any work in the region. They only trouble the parties in the INDIA bloc and without any reason, they have put Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in jail. They are disrespecting Delhi. The people will ask questions on the issues that they will have to answer.”
