Construction work of new Panchayat ghars in full swing in Kashmir

Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir), July 29 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir government has intensified development activities in Pulwama district. After J&K got the status of Union Territory, the government has increased the flow of funds for developmental project to a greater extent. The construction work of ‘Panchayat Ghar’ at Naina Batapora area is in full swing after J&K became UT. With an aim to develop the Valley, the necessary steps have been taken by the government. The development activities are also offering employment to the people of the Valley. One of the locals said, “We are very happy that construction work of the building has started here. We are very thankful and are hopeful that more development activities will be done here.” Other local said, “We are very thankful since Jammu and Kashmir got the status of UT. Development activities are actually happening now including water and electricity. Everything is going well because of the UT government. Panchayat Raj has come into force and now ‘Panchayat Ghar’ is also constructing.” Jammu Kashmir Rural Development Department is constructing these ‘Panchayat Ghars’ in different villages of Kashmir valley.
