COVID-19: Relief material meant for needy in PoK sold to retail stores by Pakistani officers

Mirpur (PoK), Apr 02 (ANI): The government employees in Pakistan have sold relief materials, meant for the poor and needy, to retail stores amid coronavirus lockdown in the country. The shocking incident was reported from Mirpur district of PoK. While locals are deprived of essential commodities including wheat flour in Mirpur amid COVID-19 pandemic, Pakistan government is looking the other way. While speaking to media, one of the local said, “The supply of essential commodities should be made smooth. The supply of products should not be disturbed at any cost.” Another local added, “The officials said that a truck full of wheat flour has come and you can go to Mini Mart to purchase it. But, they refused to sell wheat flour outside and also denied us for the same.” “We are standing here from last one hour and they are not giving us wheat flour and told us to come tomorrow, or day after tomorrow,” he added.
