Abu Dhabi (UAE), July 10 (ANI): A month ago at an event at Medeor Hospital, Abu Dhabi Gautam Gambhir expressed his desire to coach the Indian Cricket team on June 02. Answering a student’s question, he joyfully said that he would love to coach India and there is no bigger honour than coaching the national team. On July 10, ending all the speculations, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah announced Gautam Gambhir as the Indian men’s cricket team’s new head coach; fulfilling GG’s long time wish. During the interaction session, one of the students asked him about coaching the Indian team and helping them win the World Cup with his experience. “I have not answered this question, although a lot of people have asked me. But I have to answer you now. I would love to coach the Indian team. There is no bigger honour than coaching your national team. You are representing 140 crore Indians and those across the globe as well” Gambhir said with a smile on his face.
