J&K: Central govt’s PMSYM Yojna reshapes lives of fishery farmers in Rajouri

Rajouri (J&K), January 8 (ANI): Unemployed youths in the remote Pirpanjal village of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir have embraced Trout Fish Farming under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan (PMSYM) initiative. The Phalini Village Trout Hatchery has played a crucial role by supplying seeds, leading to the establishment of about ten new Trout Fish Farm units in Pirpanjal. This initiative brought positive changes to the region. Saleema Akhter, a native of Ghaleer village in Rajouri uplifted from Below Poverty Line through Trout fish farming under PMSYM Yojna. The initiative created a positive impact on the lives of numerous unemployed youths in the region. The Fisheries Department is actively promoting Trout farming, encouraging youth to adopt it as a livelihood.
