New Delhi, Feb 01(ANI): Ahead of the interim budget presentation, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on January 31 heaped praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the 'Modi' government has made revolutionary change in the past nine years. Jyotiraditya Scindia said, “PM Modi's government has made a revolutionary change in the country in past 9 years... India has risen on a global platform. In 2014, India was the 10th largest economy. Today it is the 5th largest economy. In the next 3 years, India will be among the 3 largest economies... There are lots of projects for the development of the poor like PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana... There has been a transformation and I am sure that in this budget too, the same would continue with the thought of 'India First'.” On meeting with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, he said “We discussed about various projects... We want to make the Agra-Gwalior expressway of 6 or 8-lane... Agra-Gwalior expressway is still a 2-lane. He accepted this... Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh administration have to acquire land and submit it to the NHAI... This project would be of Rs. 4500-5000 crores. A 90-kilometre 6 or 8-lane expressway would be constructed which will connect Agra and Gwalior.” “After the land acquisition and transferring it to NHAI, the Agra-Gwalior expressway would be ready in two and a half years,” he added. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the interim budget February 01. Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha polls are likely to be held in April-May this year. The last session before the Lok Sabha polls is to provide a total of eight sittings spred over 10 days.
